What DockPilot does
DockPilot helps Mac admins keep the Dock useful without locking users into a fixed, one-size-fits-all layout. You define the Dock policy, DockPilot watches what is installed, and managed Dock items appear or disappear based on the rules you set.
Why dynamic Dock matters
- A user installs an approved app from Self Service or your MDM app catalogue.
- If that app is part of your Dock policy, DockPilot can add it to the Dock automatically.
- If the app is removed later, DockPilot can remove that managed Dock item.
- User-added Dock items are left alone when your policy allows user flexibility.
- You choose which apps belong in the Dock. DockPilot does not simply add every installed app.
