Using DockPilot
DockPilot is provided to help organisations manage Mac Dock policy, workspace shortcuts, and dynamic app-aware Dock behaviour. You are responsible for deploying it appropriately through your MDM, Jamf, or local Mac management process.
Trials
- A trial gives you access to the full DockPilot Enterprise workflow for evaluation.
- When a trial expires, DockPilot pauses future managed Dock actions rather than removing or resetting a user's current Dock.
- Trial access may be limited or withdrawn if it is misused or repeatedly recreated to avoid subscription.
Subscriptions
- Paid DockPilot plans are annual subscriptions.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the billing portal before renewal.
- If a subscription is cancelled or payment fails, the backend licence state may pause future managed Dock actions.
- Existing Dock layouts are not destructively reset because of a billing or licence state change.
Admin responsibility
- Test DockPilot profiles before broad deployment.
- Keep licence profiles and enrolment files scoped only to the intended organisation.
- Remove DockPilot from MDM scopes before running an uninstall.
- Do not upload confidential files to support unless they are needed to diagnose the ticket.
Support and availability
DockPilot aims to provide a reliable service and practical support, but no software or cloud service can be guaranteed to be uninterrupted. Support response targets are described in the Support SLA article.
