Mosyle Deployment

Deploy DockPilot using Mosyle package and profile workflows for managed Macs.

Recommended Mosyle flow

  • Add DockPilot Client as an install package for your target Macs.
  • Add the DockPilot licence mobileconfig as a custom profile.
  • Export the Dock policy from the Admin Client and add it as a second custom profile.
  • Assign the profiles and package to a small test group before production.
  • Use Mosyle app deployment for approved apps that DockPilot should react to.

Profile: DockPilot Licence
Purpose: Organisation enrolment and licence check-in
Scope: Macs that should run DockPilot Enterprise

Profile: DockPilot Dock Policy
Purpose: The managed Dock layout, folders, stacks, links, and replacements
Scope: Department, site, role, classroom, or lab groups

Rollout tip

Use one simple Dock policy first, then add team-specific policies after the pilot group proves the Client, licence profile, and app delivery are working together.
